One Piece Episode two.I’m really excited about watching these next couple episodes. Even though I have re-watched One Piece a lot, I know the early episodes are the ones I drowned out a lot.
It’s only been a day and I can’t remember if they interacted at all with the Marines last episode. Maybe there’s something more wrong than me not paying that close of attention. I don’t want to discover that my minds going……
Anyway, I think that this is the first actual interaction with the Marines. It’s like “hey everyone, they are not all good guys.” I’m glad now it’s more complex than ‘boo, marines bad’ but it really did start off that way thinking about it more.
I mean, once Morgans gone the guys under him are good, but all the other marines till smoker still give off that ‘i’m not a good marine’ attitude.
I remember more of the edits with these couple episode from 4kids. Not everything, just a few things here and there. They apparently edited out the top part of the cross where Zoro is tied cause they didn’t want it to resemble crucifixion or whatever.
It seems silly, but people get mad over any little thing. And it’s also mention later that he was crucified:
It’s so small, but I could see people losing their minds over that for no reason.
Is this why his attacks are called onigiri?
But in seriousness, I actually do remember this edit. Like the famous Brock Jelly Donuts edit from Pokemon, but at least they actually changed them to cookies? Credit for that? I don’t know, I’m trying to be positive here.
This part always stuck out to me for some reason. Like he doesn’t want to hurt her, and even Helmeppo later was like ‘no I didn’t kill her she’s just a little girl.’ He was following orders, and tried to help her so she wouldn’t get hurt, and Helmeppo just wanted to flaunt his authority.
Not great, but also not the evil we’re about to see.

I don’t know if I’m the only one, but this is an issue I have with kids in Anime. This girl was about to get her and her mom killed, and if Luffy didn’t show up, Zoro would have been killed.
It seems like so many anime out there have a small kid that does something stupid, gets everyone in trouble, then someone makes a speech, and then every one is like ‘yea, we need to fight.’ And then the hero saves them once they lose.
Not a trope I like, but it’s so common!
See I knew she was there too. So this makes sense as to why I just thought they went to the next island. I didn’t expect that they went to this island to specifically get Zoro, and then for Luffy to call him weak.
Um, how do you know that? Seriously, this is Zoro, how does he know the direction of anything? Something happened to him….
I feel like Zoro’s bad direction habit didn’t come into play till after Arlong. I’ll have to look out for the first showing of that.
The philosophy of the Marines, essentially.
ABSOLUTE JUSTICE
I forget how these first few seasons make this seem so impossible. The Marines are pretty terrible; Axe-hand Morgan, Fullbody, that one mouse guy working with Arlong, the filler with the practically evil ones. It seems like a good marine is hard to find.
They are very cartoon villain-ish.
Everybody calling him weak.

Good episode, not great, just good. I haven’t watched it yet, but I’m pretty sure I will like the second part over this one.
There wasn’t much that I missed from this one at all, but surprisingly more that I remembered from watching 4kids. I still can’t believe that I remember anything from it.
Either way, next episode soon, but gotta read the manga first!
I didn’t realize there were different versions of Romance Dawn and I’m gonna read all of them.
Starting with Version 1, released in 1996. It seems to be referred to as Chapter 0. I went back to my physical copy of One Piece, because sometimes they print “special episodes” in manga, but these were not in there. I do have the 3 volume set, so maybe in a single volume it has the extras? I doubt it though.

This is a pretty deep discussion. I don’t feel like I have seen this come up in the anime. Saving the town and people by giving up your valuables willingly, or fighting to defend everyone so your town doesn’t become a pirate gifting village.
I was gonna say she looks like Nami, and maybe she was the one who would join, but the more I look at her, the more she looks so different.
And she seems to be a troublemaker.
But of course, they see Luffy and think he is the Crescent-Moon pirate captain.
Why is he trying to take over Pirate Ships. Is he trying to upgrade his small boat? That’s funny considering how important the Straw Hat ship is, having someone else’s would not have had the same impact. It would have always been the other pirates first.

Seems like the idea of having a top group of pirates was always there.
Well I’m glad this was dropped. I like the pirates, just being labeled pirates. We decide if they are good or bad pirates. There is no real black and white regarding them. Even with the Marines, there is good and bad, and in between.
It would have been an interesting concept to have seen, I’ll admit. I wonder what other people think about this. Is this something others would have actually wanted to see?
The way it is now is just better to me. It has deeper concepts on what is good and what is bad. Like for instance, Whitebeard being a huge threat and worrying about him in the beginning, but then we learn many places were protected by him.
I’d really like to know opinions on this.
I see some familiar faces. Super small detail, but here Luffy can’t swim and I remember from the anime that Shanks says Luffy is a great swimmer. I wonder if I’m wrong about that, I haven’t re-watched that episode yet.
Lucky Roo, and Yasopp are the only crew members from Shanks that I know the names of. The two in the middle have to be them. That one guy with an X on his head looks familiar too.
Same story basically, just instead of a bandit taking him out to see, Luffy was just hanging out in a boat and then was attacked by a shark. But I mean, it’s like exactly the frames from the anime.
I haven’t read the official anime yet, so I don’t know what this scene looks like there, but I imagine it’s almost exact too. It’s like this was 100% going to be in the story no matter what. I wonder if it’s in Romance Dawn Version 2 as well. I’ll find out soon enough.

Because I keep comparing her to Nami, it would be neat if we learned that this was her backstory. I mean, Nojiko was carrying her as a baby, that could be what happened. We don’t know.
Unless it was said about Nami’s parents were normal people and that’s something else I missed.
You might as well ask, I mean you never know.
Luffy is out here, destroying ships. I don’t recall ever hearing him say that he’s gonna kill someone, but that’s what he was threatening here. Makes since really, you’re a pirate.
I do love when he does this in the anime, kicking super hard down dramatically.
I do want to know if this was suppose to be a common thing, like other pirates considered themselves that as well, or if it was just a new phrase Luffy was learning that he maybe got from Shanks.
Well I wasn’t expecting that. Man, collecting flags from pirates you beat up. I don’t know about that. Reminds me of that one filler, before Thriller Bark, where the antagonists capture pirate flags because the one big guys likes to collect them.
Anyway, I liked this a lot. It was fun.I could have seen this playing before Luffy met up with Coby. Luffy is still carefree, but does seem different in a way I can’t quite put my finger on.
In 2008, for the 40th JUMP Super Anime Tour, this story was apparently remade, and takes place between Thriller Bark and Sabaody Archipelago. I tried to see if I could find it and watch it, but the only one I found was too bad of quality.
It’s changed to the crew needing food, and Luffy being the one to go out and get some. Why you’d send him out to get food, I don’t know cause he’d eat it all before he got back, but it sets up the story.
Anyway, there are pretty heavy changes to the story, and it seems to focus fully on Luffy, Silk (Shiruku), and the Crescent-Moon Pirates. I just read the wiki.
I was going to continue on with the next one here, but this is already so long, so I’ll put it as it’s own. Part of me wishes these were episodes we got before Zoro, kind of ‘villain of the week’ but a good way to learn more about the character.
I am watching this through Hulu. It says Toei animations as well as Funimation, so I’m assuming it’s all good.
You know, 4Kids made a lot of mistakes but one thing I remember from them that I did like was during this part he says something like “I left everything I own in One Piece.” It made sense because everyone calls it the One Piece.
The English dub says “I’ve left everything I’ve gathered together in One Place” but that also makes sense because of what you learn later. The aim is a place.
It’s an interesting change, One Piece/One Place/There. I don’t remember much from my first time watching, but one thing I do recall is that I really thought that Roger would not be brought up during the show. I didn’t think he would be that important of a character, he was just the guy who had treasure that people wanted to get. It wasn’t about him, but his gold.

Hate me all you want for the English opening lyrics, but they are so inspiring.
No matter what, it’s a good song/opening and I love hearing it later.
I’m not trying to do a play by play of each episode, but what’s funny to me, and I never really thought about, is our first experience of a pirate in the One Piece universe is a female pirate.
Typically you’d think more about male pirates, and even the later antagonist are male pirates/marines with a few females here and there. This doesn’t bother me at all, but what is nice is when there is female characters, they are not faceless like how many of the marines and some pirates are. They typically play a bigger and reoccurring role. Even though this isn’t something that’s important to me I do appreciate it.
I love this image. It just seems like such an iconic image. One Piece has so many amazing moments, but this one here is the one I typically see a lot of.
From the first episode, all the way to the current (or at least where I left off currently) episode, his character was fully established. This is who he is, and this is who he remains.
A smaller scale, but why I feel like going back and re-watching this show is so important. There is always what seems like small or throw away lines that turn out to be so important.
I think there are some lines that are so quick but bring things up that don’t appear for like a hundred or so episodes. Even Alvida, you need to remember her as well.
And Coby……goodness.
Maybe this sets up for later? I don’t know, seems like a stretch (ha) but with this show you can never tell.
Dreams are important to Luffy. Doesn’t matter what it is, he supports everyones dreams, even if he just met you.
Wait, so are they going to the next place specifically to get Zoro. I thought that was just the next place on the way, since isn’t Nami there too? I really don’t remember.
So Zoro was one crew member that was specifically sought out. I mean, the argument could be maid for Nami too, but that’s not the same since she had unoffically joined already. Zoro is named dropped and Luffy is so interested he goes looking for him to have him join.
I didn’t think there was going to be much of anything I missed in this first episode, but apparently there was.
And of course, Nami. No introduction though, not even a voice.
I really didn’t want to do a shot by shot, recounting the show, but it’s hard. There’s just so much you want to talk about while going through it. That’s basically why I really want to do this.
Also, because even from the first episode, I clearly have not been paying attention to the show. It’s not really that big of things here, but knowing that Luffy specifically went to the next island to look for Zoro just makes me look at it a little different. There’s no real change to the story at all, it’s just super interesting to me.
I imagine I won’t be surprised by something in the next episode, but I guess we shall see.
I wanted to read the manga and compare with the first episode, but I have to do that later because there is like 4 or 5 different versions, so I’m gonna read them and have them all in their own post. Hopefully afterwards I can do the manga and anime in one.
I finished watching this OVA, and I gotta say, it was interesting. The episode had no subtitles, and I have not yet gone to read the wiki, but from what I could gather it involves Luffy, Zoro, and Nami helping a small island defeat the Pirate Ganzack and his group.
Having seen One Piece so many times, you can just envision what this would have been like as a season. I’m not sure what to say about it honestly. It’s weird seeing these characters that we know now with different voices, acting similar but still different.
This is supposed to take place between Orange Town and Syrup Village, but is not part of the actual Toei “official” anime. According to the wiki, it was released during the 1998 Jump Super Anime Tour, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shonen Jump. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but I had no idea it had been around for that long.
Another interesting tidbit, according to the wiki, is a few of the voice actors came back for the official.
Wataru Takagi (Zoro) would go on to voice Bellamy.
Ikuya Sawaki (Herring and the Narrator) would go on to voice Admiral Fujitora
Overall it was good, and having now read the wiki synopsis, I can appreciate it more knowing all the details I missed due to no subtitles. It was fun, and silly at times, but I’ll admit, I was getting annoyed with how easily and often Luffy kept being trapped. Even at the end, he leaves being trapped in a float.
But it was fun.
Obviously it’s not something that you have to watch to further the current One Piece anime, but it is nice to see where it all started before it became what we know and love today.
I really wish I had more to say about this one, but I really don’t. I liked the art, and that even here, Shanks and how important the Straw Hat is was conveyed.

Before I begin re-watching, I want to rank every single One Piece arc. This was surprisingly difficult to do, and I now realize that I’ve actually missed a lot more than I thought!
So the way I’m going to do this is by running through ever arc and ranking the story arcs in them. I did mention before, when I first started watching One Piece, it was through 4kids, so it is hard for me to remember the feelings I had watching them because it’s so different, and even some arcs where completely cut.
I want to do this because it could change massively once I’m actually paying attention to the show. I would like to keep a record of what my standing was at the beginning. I know there is a good chance that what I enjoy will probably be different than most, but don’t forget, I haven’t really paid attention while watching either. Also, like what you like.
Prepare for a long blog! Yes, I’m ranking the fillers too.
East Blue
1. Arlong Park
I feel like this one should be a surprise to no one. Do I even really need to explain? To me, Arlong Park was where One Piece really showed what it would become.
2. Loguetown
This is where, to me, it felt like One Piece started. Before this, it was gathering the crew, and learning everyone’s backstories and motivation. This was more the beginning of the adventure.
3. Baratie
So Arlong Park was showing what One Piece would become, but this arc seemed to set up what we would be expecting in the Grand Line. The warlords were introduced (Mihawk really), and it was conveyed how tough the journey would become.
4. Romance Dawn
I’m not sure what to say about this one. It’s the beginning, it’s the start, but except for Koby and Helmeppo, you could almost skip it as you learn more about Luffy and Zoro in the next episodes. Should you do that? No, it’s still good!
5. Orange Town
I like Buggy, but I’m glad this isn’t a long arc. We get Nami, and meet Buggy, who is important for later, but It’s an arc that really has nothing else going for it. Maybe to show the kind of pirate Luffy is vs what other pirates are like, which you also get in the next arc.
6. Syrup Village
As much as I love him, I do think Usopp is a difficult character for newer fans to warm up to. This arc is just a bit too long, but it is a good one. He may not have the saddest of backstories, but I do feel like his is the most relatable for some, and the most realistic. We also get the Merry, which is super important.
7. Warship Island
This is one of those arcs that I don’t hate, but I prefer to skip. I think it’s the first filler you come to, before entering the Grand Line.
It’s two episodes, not an arc, but the wiki has it listed. It’s funny, Buggy and Gaimon becoming friends is pure. Could not figure out the mystery woman to save my life.
Alabasta
1. Alabasta / Post-Alabasta
At this point, I was reading the manga, and realized that 4kids was changing a lot of things. Even though I loved it, I was thinking it was so goofy with people using plunger guns. Reading this arc, and seeing Luffy beat Sir Crocodile with blood was crazy, but all I could think of is “how is 4kids gonna change this, you can’t!” They changed the blood with sweat.
I liked Vivi, but I wasn’t looking forward to her joining the crew. We just went through this whole thing, and for her to abandon her kingdom felt wrong, so I was in the minority happy that she stayed. Getting Robin on the other hand was surprising. I consider this to be the post-alabasta so I just put it with the main arc, but according to the wiki it’s actually the following fillers.
2. Drum Island
I want to say that it was somewhere around here that I began reading the manga way back when. It’s been so long, I can’t remember, but I do know that I knew nothing about Laboon and Little Garden. Wapol was not great, but many of the other characters were enjoyable. Chopper is adorable, and I love the unusual characters in One Piece and it’s nice to actually have them as part of the crew.
3. Reverse Mountain
I hate that I missed out on the story of Laboon upon first watch thanks to 4kids. In my mind it’s hard to remember that Whiskey Peak wasn’t right at the bottom of reverse mountain. But, it’s amazing just how much important things happen in this short arc.
4. Little Garden
This arc is so important, but it’s hard for me to appreciate it due to it being completely cut when I first watched One Piece. That’s not the fault of the arc, but I know that this is one I have not paid the best of attention to. It’s good from what I’ve seen.
5. Whiskey Peak
There’s nothing wrong with this arc, it’s just an act for the coming arcs. It’s an interesting concept, a town of bounty hunters, but it doesn’t last long, and then so far, from what I know, there’s never any more mention. Every place, excluding fillers, seems to have been brought up again later in the series.
Special: Diary of Koby – Meppo (2 episodes, several covers)
I’m not counting these as an arc, since it’s only 2 episodes, but if I did I think it would be pretty high. I love that these were included as episodes. I enjoy seeing these two figure out their paths, and of course, Garp. I would have been like “what, how, and why?!” seeing them together after Enies Lobby without this. I love that they rely on each other, and push each other. Seeing Axe Hand Morgan is the least interesting part.
Sky Island
1. Skypiea
I know this arc is not very popular, but just like another less popular arc, I really enjoy the story.Yea, it’s very drawn out and there are parts that could be cut out, but overall I really enjoy this arc. I liked the characters, the main villains, and of course, the amazing flashback!
2. Jaya
To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this would be 2nd or 3rd, but ultimately because it wasn’t filler, and introduced a few important people I put it 2nd. It does feel that it’s purpose was to set up for Skypiea, but it also set up for things much later as well.
3. G-8
I know I’m not alone in thinking this, but I didn’t realize this was filler for the longest time. It’s a good arc, and really explains everything with the Merry (from Skypiea), and the need to fix the ship. I’d argue that it has fairly important parts to it. I also really enjoy seeing the Marines as they’re supposed to be, good people just doing their jobs. Also, I love Johnathan and Jessica’s relationship.
4. Ruluka Island
I don’t really have a strong opinion one way or the other for this arc. I don’t mind it, it’s pretty short and makes me laugh, but I don’t hate it either. It’s not an arc that I feel the need to ignore or skip completely.
5. Goat Island
This one, however, I do feel is skippable. I don’t hate it either, I just like it a lot less. I do enjoy that the character they’re helping is a pirate accountant. That’s just funny to me.
Water 7
1. Post-Enies Lobby
I feel like this is where a lot of people will think I’m crazy. Enies Lobby is always the one considered the best. I personally enjoy the after more, once we’ve finished all the craziness. We get a new crew mate, Shanks and Whitebeard, Garp/Koby/Helmeppo, everyone gets bounties, Thousand Sunny, Ace vs Blackbeard, and so many answers that add even more questions. I think that it can also be argued that this is just the end of Enies Lobby arc, but I’m going by the One Piece Wiki, and it is its own on there.
2. Enies Lobby
It’s not because of the fights, it’s because of everything surrounding the fights. Robin’s story, what having her on the ship means, how far everyone is willing to go for each other, the huge enemies they made, the growth in strength everyone had, and the Merry. If I’m honest, the fights were probably the least interesting parts for me. That doesn’t mean I didn’t like them, I just liked everything else more.
3. Water 7
I’m so tempted to switch this one with Enies Lobby, but I’m just gonna stick with where I put it first. Just know, I was in the process of switching it but decided against it. It’s got great characters, an imaginative land, and some extremely important elements. Everything with Merry and Usopp – Amazing, Iceburg and Galley La – Amazing, Tom and the Sea Train – Amazing. The build up, the mystery, the emotions; it’s all amazing. Why did I put this at number 3?
4. Long Ring Long Land
How is this one canon, but G8 is filler?! Either way, I don’t hate it, I do enjoy it, but I do wish it was shorter.
5. Boss Luffy Special
I wasn’t sure if I should even count these in the arc list, but since there are several episodes I decided to just put it in. At first, I didn’t care too much for it, but it has grown on me a lot. I really enjoyed them, they were a nice break.
6. Foxy’s Return
I don’t hate these 3, but I just wanted less of them. There were funny parts, I enjoyed Robin and Chopper alone on the ship, and some parts of the crew on Foxy’s ship. Skippable, but not terrible.
7. Oceans Dream
I don’t like this arc, this arc makes me mad. Maybe I’m being unreasonable, but this is an arc I skip.
Thriller Bark
1. Thriller Bark
While Moria may not be a top villain for me, I loved everyone else. Also, the theme of the arc, Brook, and spooky elements in general are so fun. Brook had an amazing introduction and tear jerking backstory, more on Laboon, and Franky’s bridge building skills.
2. Ice Hunter
I really enjoy this one, and do think it is a good filler. Not as good as G8, obviously, but still good. Mostly good for the antagonists of the arc, because I could honestly tell you nothing about the other pirates the strawhats meet. Also, what a strong and good relationship.
3. Spa Island
Skippable. Not really much going on from what I remember. Sisters are trying to finish their fathers research for some kind of crystal? Not the worst filler out there, but not one that’s needed either.
Chopper Man Special
I haven’t really followed these episodes, I feel like there is 2 of them? I don’t know what to think. It’s a special, not an arc.
Summit War
1. Impel Down
I’m not sure, but this may be the best arc in One Piece for me. I love this arc, I look forward to it all the time. I love all the characters, old and new. Seeing Blackbeard be defeated so easy is cathartic. I do remember this is one that I read before the anime even came out. It was hard, because I wanted both sides to succeed. Luffy needed to rescue Ace, but the warden needed to keep criminals from escaping. It was wonderful and great, and really showed that it’s not black and white.
2. Sabaody Archipelago
This arc blew my mind. As the kids say, I could not even! I had no idea where to go or what to do after this arc. One piece always had darker elements and sad backstories, but this arc took a turn. It also showed how big the world really is, showing that Luffy is only one pirate, with several others in his “generation” that took different paths. I’m not sure, but I think this is where we get a little more understanding on Haki, or is that Amazon Lily?
3. Marineford
Really, this arc could be tied for number 2 but I thought not doing ties would be more fair. Marineford is a good arc, it’s amazing. Unfortunately for me, I read the manga as it was being released, so I didn’t have as hard of an impact other than being shocked. With the anime, it’s so much more emotional.
4. Amazon Lily
I mean this arc is funny. Or really, it starts out that way. Then you get hit with emotions. Boa is great, hate her at first, then she’s amazing. Momonga is great, he is one of my favorite marines.
5. Post-War
While it was hard, I liked that this arc really dealt with Luffy’s emotions. I liked getting more of the backstory for Luffy, Dadan was fun, and seeing the results of the war was interesting. I remember the narrator saying after Ace vs Blackbeard, that it would lead to the event that would shake the world, and seeing just how much is a bit crazy. I couldn’t even imagine how much it would.
6. Little East Blue (Movie Tie in)
So….I’m hispanic, and I love to joke around with my husband regarding this arc. It’s not a good arc, but it’s a fun one. It’s purpose is to set up for the Movie, Strong World. Amigo Pirates, that’s amazing, I found my crew, lol!
7. Strawhat Separation Special
I was super surprised that this was just chapter covers. I did not realize that. Caroline is amazing, she was my favorite.
Fishman Island
1. Fishman Island
I don’t understand the hate for this arc. Maybe I do, I’m not sure, but to me this is a really good and powerful arc. Like other arcs, it is drawn out, and the villains are not that intimidating so I do understand that complaint. Overall, it is a top arc for me. The story is so good, and even though the antagonists may not be great, I appreciate what they represent. I also loved learning more about Arlong.
2. Return to Sabaody
I don’t know if this should really be it’s own arc, but the wiki has it as separate from Fishman Island. We get to see everyone meet back up and depart to the next island. We also get fake straw hats, voiced by the real straw hats.
Dressrosa
I’m amazed by how much I haven’t seen or paid attention to at this point. I have a hard time believing that anything in this arc would be better than Dressrosa, but I can’t really rank it fairly. It’s a super long arc but insanely good.
Zou
Garchu!
I love Zou! It’s such a good arc. So many surprises!

This was a lot. I’m tired now. If you actually read and followed all that, props to you. I don’t know if I could have. It took me days to write this up, and i’m not 100% happy with it, but I’m sticking by it.
I think overall my lists are pretty average with what any other fan would say, but I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong. I can’t believe how much I have actually missed, so I’m excited to watch it and give it the attention it deserves.
Almost 10 years ago, I was a huge fan of anime. I would go to cons, try cosplay, read manga, and watch new shows daily.
As of now, I have not seen a single new anime in years.
Slowly, I just stopped paying attention and because I wasn’t listening, I no longer tried new shows. I did, however, continue to play ones that I had already seen over and over but I ran into the same problem of not paying attention.
I like to have noise in the house, but not play music, so I always put on a show and let it play.
One of these shows I have replayed from beginning to end several times is pretty much my favorite; One Piece. As you can guess, I haven’t paid attention to it much, which of all the shows out there, this one you really should watch closely.
Because of this, I want to start with One Piece.
I do know that there are a lot of reactors watching this show, but I do want to make it clear, this is not a reaction, this is more of a discussion. I want to re-watch this show, and actually pay attention to the details I missed, because I know there are a lot. I do not have to worry about spoilers, because I have seen the show, even if I didn’t pay close attention.
To give a quick overview of where I left off:
Anime: I have seen most of the Zou arc, but not into Whole Cake Island. I do know the crew has split off, one to Wano and the other group to Big Mom.
Manga: I have not read the beginning, I believe I started at Alabasta arc because I started watching One Piece when it premiered through 4Kids and I knew nothing about Laboon, Brogy, or Dorry but I knew Luffy should have beaten Crocodile with blood, not sweat. I stopped reading the manga right before they arrived on Fishman Island, I’m not sure why.
Current: I know that Whole Cake Island is over, and they are currently on Wano. I also know a few things from cake island, but I have not seen a single episode.
My intention is to start from the very beginning and watch One Piece (subbed) while also following the manga to compare.
Even though I own the manga for it, I am going to read it online due to the translation. I think it has something to do when it was under 4kids, but I don’t really know. Either way, reading this translation will irritate me for sure.
I checked the later ones and it’s still the same.
As for the anime, I am looking at watching it through Hulu. I do have funimation, but due to other re-watches I may not use it. I am considering Crunchyroll, but that would be another expense to consider.
For now, hulu will be what I watch through unless it is just completely incorrect. I am also considering just sucking it up and watching it through funimation.
I will be using the One Piece Wiki to give me a better understanding of how the manga and anime line up. I haven’t decided if I will watch the fillers for this yet, I figure I have some time.
I also found the unofficial (?) beginning episode One piece Defeat Him! The Pirate Ganzack 1998 Ova on Youtube, so I think I will be starting there just because.
My aim is for 3 to 4 days a week, possibly Monday – Wednesday/Thursday, will be One Piece related. Friday will be doing something else. Right now I’m leaning towards doing a discussion on Aggretsuko cause I see it everywhere, but have not watched it and I’m curious. I may add stuff on the weekends, but let me see if I can even do the weekday stuff.
